Previous seminars have included:-
"Putting a building project together" in which Anna Stillman spoke of some key issues to address before embarking on a construction project - as failing to prepare is preparing to fail, while Mark Hessel warned against the pitfalls of not taking advice, recounting some real life horror stories!
"Property Insolvency" in which Damon Watt gave an overview of insolvency procedures and provided some tips to landlords on the warning signs that their tenants may be in trouble. Geoff Willis (wearing various hats as tenant, administrator and assignee) and Gemma Newell (as landlord) then acted out a case study showing the sort of scenarios which result from a tenant's downturn.
"Landlord v Tenant" which saw Wendy Hodrien (acting for the landlord) in an intellectual rumble in the jungle with Farrah Tejani (acting for the tenant) which was held in September 2008.
"The Temple Of Doom", held on 7 February 2008. In light of the credit crunch, David Danskin gave some useful tips to avoid further woes in 2008 and Giles Ferin commented on planning and development in an uncertain market.
