Protected On-line Filing (PROOF)

Protected On-line Filing (“PROOF”) was introduced by Companies House following numerous instances of corporate identity theft.  Registration with the PROOF scheme means Companies House will only accept certain forms electronically.

With the introduction of PROOF, and electronic filing every company is given a unique company authentication code.  All forms which are filed electronically are then password protected, which replaces an officer’s signature.
